Terms of service

Effective September 6, 2026 · beta

The short version: OUTFISH is a beta, rivers are dangerous, the data comes from agencies and dams that don't answer to us, and you are responsible for your own safety on the water.

1. The service

OUTFISH ("the service") is a fly-fishing information product operated by Southern Drift ("we"). It aggregates public hydrology, weather, regulation and dam-operator data and generates written briefings from it. It is provided during a beta period and may change, pause or end without notice.

2. Safety — read this one

Conditions change faster than any feed. Dam releases, generation schedules, flow forecasts and water temperatures are reported as published by their sources and may be late, wrong or missing. Never wade or launch on dam-controlled water without confirming the operator's current schedule yourself. OUTFISH is not a safety system and must not be relied on as one. You assume all risk of fishing, wading, boating and travel decisions.

3. Your account

You must be 16 or older. Keep your sign-in secure. One account per person. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service — scraping, automated briefing loops, submitting false shop or guide listings, or harassing other anglers through shared features.

4. Plans, trials and billing

Riverside is free. Wade, Float and Guide are monthly subscriptions billed through Stripe. Paid tiers offer a seven-day free trial once per account; you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Change or cancel any time from your profile — changes are prorated automatically, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and we don't refund partial months except where the law requires it. Prices may change with 30 days' email notice. Friends-and-family and comp accounts are never billed.

5. Content

Briefings, tips summaries and other generated text are produced by software from third-party data and may contain errors. Tips cite the shows and speakers they were distilled from; the underlying episodes belong to their creators. Your fishing log, notes and photos remain yours; you grant us the license needed to store and display them to you and to improve the service. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to.

6. Third parties

Links to guides, shops, shows and booking pages go to businesses we don't control. We may earn a referral fee on some links; that never changes how tips or waters are ranked.

7. Disclaimers and limits

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Southern Drift is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the service or from conditions on the water. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts sitting in Davidson County, Tennessee.

9. Changes

We'll email account holders before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.
